Feeding the Herd

Feeding the herd: Homemade Buttermilk Pancakes

You know you have a big family when a regular sized bag of Krusteaz isn’t enough for Saturday morning breakfast…not even kidding. Forget boxed cereal.  I’m pretty sure that only feeds three or four.  Not to mention the cost of convenience foods multiplied by many!  We would literally break the bank if most of our foods weren’t made from scratch.  Small Stack

I’ve experimented with atleast a hundred different pancake recipes until I found the PERFECT one.  Seriously, not one of my minions complained about them.  It’s a record-breaking, mark-it-on-the-calendar kind of recipe if no one complains about what’s for dinner…or breakfast…or lunch.  Combine these beauties with Big Daddy’s homemade maple syrup and or some spiced pear butter and you’ve got a double win.  Just sayin’

Pancake Mix

The nice thing about pancakes is that they work great for dinner AND you most likely have all of the ingredients in your pantry to make them.  I’ve included a Barrus-sized version and a normal-sized version of the recipe below.  ENJOY feeding your herd, no matter how big or how small!

From the land of chaos,
